Custom Duct Sleeves
FS Products supplies a variety of custom duct sleeve sizes and configurations. A ductwork sleeve connector is a flat piece of material that is heat-sealed, or bonded, at an overlapping splice seam to form an endless loop that can be slipped over each end of a plain pipe or duct. Our duct sleeves can be provided in any of our materials to accommodate movements, chemical attack, or high temperatures. We can also provide transitional ductwork sleeves or rectangular sleeves, depending on your specific application. We often provide band clamps to attach the sleeve ends to the piping or ducting. Our standard clamps are ¾”-wide stainless-steel T-Bolt band clamps. Sizes larger than 12” diameter will often require multiple latch locations to achieve a tight fit. For airtight applications, we suggest gaskets.

Custom Duct Transitions
Flexible Specialty Products can fabricate flexible custom duct transitions in a variety of styles. Choose from round to round, rectangular to rectangular, and rectangular to round duct transitions. We can design concentric as well as eccentric connectors to accommodate cold-offset or misaligned piping as well as match up two different sized pipes.
Our custom duct transitions can be U-Joint Formed Flange, Sleeves, or Flat Joint Frame Style connectors. The use of a transition connector can eliminate the need for a metal transition piece in the ductwork to save space and money. All of our products are custom-designed to your specifications. Custom Flexible Ductwork
Our custom flexible ductwork is a PTFE product that works well for any chemical environment or when large axial movements are required. The support systems maximize the open cross-sectional area during large axial movements to avoid collapse and restriction of air flow.
The custom flexible ductwork has a maximum temperature range of 600°F (316°C) and can be used in any wet or dry application, regardless of chemical exposure. The material is unaffected by UV exposure and will not support fungus growth. It can also include an optional electrically conductive surface material to prevent build-up of static charge.

Custom Rectangular Bellows
Flexible Specialty Products provides custom rectangular bellows with many corner design options. Corner designs include camera corner, mitered, or radiused. Each type offers different advantages and disadvantages based on the required movements, cycle life, and cost.

Exhaust Flex Hose
Exhaust Flex Hose assemblies are and economical solution of non-critical exhaust applications. Exhaust Flex Hose assemblies are manufactured using corrugated flex hose, which is mass produced in long lengths. These lengths are cut and slotted cuffs or flanges can be welded directly to the flex hose. Standard assembly length is 18” and can be supplied in sizes from 1” to 6” diameter. Since the flange or cuff is welded directly to the hose corrugation, this heat affected zone typically will be the area that fails first due to fatique. Our certified welders follow the strictest procedure possible to avoid undercut and insure maximum fatique life. For a longer cycle life, our metal bellows style is recommended.

Standard Metal Bellows
Flexible Specialty Products offers a full range of custom-designed and standard metal bellows for a variety of applications. Our standard bellows have all parts stocked in our warehouse with quick delivery available. Our standard metal bellows are offered in sizes from 3” diameter to 48” diameter with 321SS single- or multi-ply bellows. Various floating or fixed flange options are available. Backing Bars
Backing bars, or clamp bars, are steel bars or angles used to mount or clamp the fabric to the frame work or duct flange. FS products manufactures backing bars in a variety of materials and thickness as required based on the specific application. The backing bars are shipped as full rings or picture frames when practical. Holes are pre-punched to match the adjoining ductwork to allow quick and easy installation of our U-Joint Formed Flange expansion joints. Backing bars are typically shipped painted with our standard high-temperature silver primer, but custom coatings and galvanizing can also be applied.

Custom Metal Braided Hoses
Metal braided hose is available in a variety of sizes with end connections ranging from flanged, threaded, or welded. Our flexible metal hoses are braided to deliver additional strength when pressurized and to provide a durable protective cover when in use.

Accumulation Pillow
Accumlation pillows or insulation bolsters are manufactured out of fiberglass or ceramic high density blanket. They can be wrapped in stainless steel mesh or a variety high temperature fabrics. Multiple layers provide the thickness required to fill the expansion joint cavity of a Flat Belt Frame Style expansion joint. The primary purpose is to fill the expansion joint cavity, which reduces particulate build-up. This build-up of ash or particulate can reduce the flexibility of the expansion joint. The pillow can also be used to provide additional insulation or for sound abatement as well as to reduce flutter in high velocity applications.

Custom Metal Bellows
Flexible Specialty Products can design and manufacture custom metal bellow expansion joints based on your specific requirements, from 3” diameter to 120” diameter. Welded metal bellows can be designed to compensate for axial compression and extension, lateral offset, and angular deflections. FS Products can provide optional control rods (tied bellows) as well as external covers, internal liners, refractory linings, and customized flanges for your custom metal bellows.
